“I was exhausted all the time”
Prior to surgery I had quit doing many activities I liked doing. I had quit taking daily walks, I couldn’t get down on the floor to play with my grandkids, I quit going places requiring walking and standing. I was exhausted all the time. I was depressed and frustrated by my weight and just couldn’t get the pounds off or to stay off so I just quit trying. I was also very self conscious about my appearance so I quit going out with friends and family unless I knew where we were going and what to expect crowd wise. I didn’t have much stamina and couldn’t stand for long periods of time.
I was prediabetic, felt awful a lot of the time, had major knee and foot pain and pretty constant GERD. My biggest frustrations, lack of compassion from a good portion of Medical Professionals and lack of information on managing obesity and/or helping us find a path forward. At the end of the day it’s not just about food there is so much more involved with fighting obesity.

I thought about it for years. What made me go for it? I couldn’t go on the way I was feeling and knew I had to do something. Meeting Dr. July and team made me want to go for it. I felt her compassion and belief in me.
energy and not always feeling exhausted.
