“My body would hurt so bad that I would either dread doing it or just not do it”
As I got heavier I found it more and more difficult to do the things I love like hiking, walking, camping, and playing with my toddler. My body would hurt so bad that I would either dread doing it or just not do it. I hated the way I looked and would avoid certain outings. At 38, I had an unprovoked pulmonary embolism that was a huge wake up call.
I had briefly thought about it here and there but never actually looked into it. I’m stubborn and competitive and never wanted to feel like I was taking the easy way out. However, with my PCOS and even working out with a personal trainer and having zero result I started to realize, maybe I couldn’t do it on my own. After my health scares, realizing how much I was missing out on, and realizing my family deserved better, I started looking into it.
